SEEDS OF LOVE.
This poem is one of my first ones written in English back in 2005, when I first joined a Christian American Poetry Forum in the U.S.A. My American Online friends at the Website made a Photo Poem for me, in order to keep it, and remember how my poetry was worthwhile for them. They also made many video-poems with my poetry there. I am still with them nowadays, and I always will. You see, I am a kind of lady who consider herself an everlasting friend and sister in Christ.
I called my previous post, "The passage of time." I posted some old family pictures there, just to show how our family evolved in a time frame from seeds of love into a wonderful tree of love.
You see, my long journey began as a teacher many years ago. Then years later, I developed some sort of creativity in my writing thoughts, stories, poems, lyrics, and so forth.
"The Rose is like a gleam of hope planted in a Free American Soil." (A line from my poem)
As a poet, I use different figures of speech, alliteration, methaphors, vowel or consonant simily, iambic rhymming couplets, or rather free style words spoken like the American Poet Walt Whitman.
I feel worthwhile. I know I am a child of God, a Christian lady with lasting moral values, and an old background of European Christians. I was raised by Northern Italian ladies, my dear mom and her mom, my granny.
Now, I'll share some family pics of my seeds of love...
(My first granddaughter, grandson and me in New York long ago)
If I could catch a rainbow,
I would do it just for you,
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
(My daughter and her 2 children in Florida.)
I I could build a mountain,
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone...
This is a view from the balcony of our penthouse tower apartment building with our cats looking down. Frank, the Siamese cat, is over 17 years old. Mimmo, the fat cat, is in Heaven.
(My 3 dear grandchildren)
If I could take your troubles,
I would toss them in the sea,
But, I'm finding these things
Impossible for me.
(My grandson.)
I can't build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
To be a true friend who's always there...
This is a Virtual Love & Hug Certificate.
These 4 stanzas are from an unknown author.
Daisy, the Seal Point Siamese female, was my daughter's 12th birthday gift. Kent, the white Siamese, was acquired later on. They got offprings, like Frank, Blueberry, Harvey, Adolph, etc.
Seeds of Love: Frank, the Legend, and my other buddies...
Seeds of Love: Harvey, Frank's older brother. (Rest in Heaven)
Seeds of Love: Frank & Harvey, siblings sleeping together long ago...
Seeds of Love: Blueberry, Harvey (siblings) & Adolph long ago. Now, they rest in Heaven.
When my daughter was a little girl, she loved Strawberry Shortcake dolls and cartoons. Now, she can play with her real own dolls, her 3 children, my grandchildren.
My 2 granddaughters, the eldest and the youngest...
They love to watch TV in their home in New York...
