"OCTOBER FOOD for POSITIVE THOUGHTS."

"OCTOBER FOOD for POSITIVE THOUGHTS."

This Blog will include inspirational tales, stories, poems, food for thoughts, and some personal messages in My Monthly Newsletters, which I'll send out under normal circumstances, if that is God's will.
I love to write my meaningful message out to the world. However, this blog can't go on without your encouragement. Without your moral support, my self-confidence will crush.
My Monthly Newsletters will keep on going as long as you are still interested in reading and will remain in touch.
Thank you in advance for your kind visits and Emails!!
"THE TRACES OF YESTERDAY ARE YET STILL ALIVE IN MY MEMORY."
Stumbled and fallen in a dusty road,
I kept falling in a strip of land.
My Lord was the one who lifted me up,
He was the one who gave me His hand.
You see, I am a baby-boomer. I was born a little before the mid 50's decade. Science was not much advanced back then, the way it is nowadays. Poliomyelitis was a severe ailment which left many children with paralyzed limbs. A few years after I was born, the polio vaccine was discovered. Thanks God!! So children were more on the safe side after that. My mom did for her child whatever she thought it would be good. My dear mother protected me in isolation from the general environment. In one hand, I did not catch that ailment, but on the other hand, my Immune System wasn't strong enough because it was not well developed for protection in my early childhood. I became afraid of the world and emotionally unstable since the early stage of my life. I was a sick child. My mom helped me to survive. I was at the verge of dying many times in my childhood. But, why didn't I help my mom when she needed me the most?? I was busy working in New York to support my own child. I regret from yesterday the fact of not helping my mom, and I am still paying a high price, the weight of my sins.
You see, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is uncertain, not promised, and all we've got is today.
I tell myself and others that we should make the best of today as if it would be our last day. There are more today's than there will be tomorrow's. Yesterday isn't now, it's gone, only there is for the memory. We can remember the good times of yesterday. We can also be haunted by the bad times or many regrets of yesterday.
Tomorrow is a myriad bundle of dreams. Can we really be sure about tomorrow?... We make plans for tomorrow, don't we??... We even anticipate tomorrow, the upcoming birthday, wedding, anniversary, Christmas, other holidays, jobs, making plans, a party or reunion with relatives and friends, and so on...
But in reality, tomorrow is basically nothing. All we can do is to prepare for its coming. And that is something that Jesus talks about in the Gospel reading for today. The preparing that we do for tomorrow, we do today. Oh!! So that is where the action takes place, my friends: TODAY!!
TODAY'S GOSPEL READING. LUKE 21: 5-19.
"While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and offerings, Jesus said, "All that you see here the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down."
Then they asked Him, "Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be, when all these things are about to happen?"
He answered, "See that you not be deceived, for many will come in My Name saying, I am He, and the time has come.
Do not follow them!! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified, for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end."
Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place, and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky. Before all this happens, however, they will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of My Name. It will lead to your giving testimony. Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute. You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of My Name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance, you will secure your lives." That is the word of the Lord in the Gospel of Luke. AMEN.
Let us pray together...
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are the hiding place of Your people, our refuge, our strength, our fortress. You go before us always, and You are with us forever. We praise and thank You for your wonderful love and care. Please, Heavenly Father, help us not to be fearful, and when we are afraid, help us to trust in You. We thank You so much for You are completely trustworthy and faithful. Precious Lord, You always know what You are doing as You weave the tapestry of our lives. We can always depend on You. In Jesus' most Holy Name, I pray.
AMEN.
I have been an active member of Christian American Forums since early 2005. Soon, it will be 7 years of Online interactions with Christians Worldwide. I am so glad to have known so many wonderful Online friends. I have an English friend, Doug, who lives in Yorkshire, England. Doug used to write his International Internet Ministry, and he said, "Thoughts are living things with wings. You are never alone, when you think of others, and they think of you.  No matter where you are, God is with you all the time."
Thank you in advance for taking your precious time in coming over for a visit in my place!!
God bless!!

Hi Starry Dawn,
Good word indeed! Tomorrow will worry about itself, God will provide. We need to be concerned about today. What are we doing today. Who are we reaching for the Kingdom today.
Hon, we all sin and mess up, there is forgiveness for that. We do pay the price for our sins but it is well worth it if we come closer to Jesus and bring others closer to Him through the lessons we have learned.

I am thankful for you sister. Thankful that you can reach out with wonderful words of God's wisdom.

Blessings,
<><

Hello dearest Starry, we are all members of the family of God so we are united. So my sister, you have come a long way on your earthly journey, have no regrets about the past. When you belong to God, then He directs your steps.
I know looking back on my own life, I also have regrets,(everyone does) however, I believe I grew through my mistakes, and God was with me, and still is. So my dear one, look forward, not backwards. Keep your eyes on Him, the lover of your soul... Jesus.
With love Crystal Mary xxx

Hey Starry! I really love this blog! You have done a great job with it. I also like the idea of including different types of posts in the one blog. As far as regrets about not taking care of your mom, I'm sure she understood. Don't "beat yourself up over" actually doing what you were suppose to do. I would imagine that your mom was proud of you for taking responsibility of your little one and supporting her like you should. That is an accomplishment to be proud of estpecially in the last 20 or 30 years. I do understand regrets though. I had some of my own for a very long time until God finally got it through my thick skull that there is nothing to regret once our loved ones pass on. If our loved ones went to be with the Lord, then they are happier than they could have ever been on earth. No sickness, no tears, no anger, just happiness. Why should we spend the rest of our earthly lives regretting something that they don't remember? Even God forgets our sins and casts them into the sea of forgetfulness if we ask Him for forgiveness, repent which is turning away from sin and forgetting about it ourselves by not continuing to bring it up in our thoughts. Well, I have given my 50 cents worth of opinion, I hope you get to feeling better. I took me a while, but I'm pretty well back to normal now.

God Bless, You and yours,
PJ

Good Morning, my sweet dear friends, Clint, Child of God, Sarah (Nikki), John, Crystal Mary, and Patti for taking your precious time to read my post, evaluate its content, and write your wise evaluations!!
It's indeed, encouraging to see you all around for a virtual cup of afternoon tea with me in blogland and comment. I've got a few blogs, online friends and forums to handle, lots of things to do that I am involved with, so many tasks to do at the same time, etc...I am engaged with so many things that you have no idea how busy I am in my own world. I am a multifaceted task Christian lady and grandmother. I wish my dear mother were with me to see all the good deeds her daughter is trying to do for the world to become a better place to live. My mom is in Heaven, and she is seen her child from up above. Thank you in advance, to all readers again and again, for your outstanding advice, moral support and caring ways!!
I highly appreciate your kindness, dear Online super friends.
God may bless you all!!
All the best,
Starry.

GOOD MORNING, MY SWEET FRIEND, SANDIE, AND ONLINE FRIENDS!!
I AM SO HAPPY TO KNOW THAT YOU AND MY OTHER ONLINE FRIENDS LIKE MY WORK. I WORKED SO HARD YESTERDAY MORNING TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS FOR A NEW DESIGN FOR ALL MY BLOGS, INCLUDING THE ONES THAT I RETIRED. THEY WILL STAY VISIBLE IN BLOGLAND FOR THOSE WHO ARE STILL INTERESTED IN MY POETRY AND INSPIRATIONAL WRITINGS. YOU SEE, I AM AN ARTIST FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, YOU SEE, I MEAN...IN A GENERAL SENSE OF THE WORD. IF I DON'T WRITE, IT MEANS THAT I AM DEAD. I MUST KEEP ON WRITING CONTENTS OF DIFFERENT TOPICS IN GENERAL WISDOM. I LOVE THE ARTS, MUSIC, BEAUTY IN ALL FORMS, MOTHER NATURE: GOD'S ALMIGHTY CREATION, SCIENCE AND LIFE IN GENERAL. I AM A PRO-LIFE CHRISTIAN LADY WHO LOVES LIFE IN ALL FORMS. DR. PAUL HAS RECENTLY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN "BIOLOGY" AS MY PROFESSIONAL CAREER, INSTEAD OF WASTING MY TIME STUDYING LAW TO BECOME AN ATTORNEY AT LAW. YOU KNOW, I'VE NEVER GOT TO GRADUATE. YET, I CERTAINLY SPENT OVER 4 YEARS STUDYING CRIMINOLOGY AND OTHER SUBJECTS AT THE LAW SCHOOL.
PERHAPS, ONE DAY IN THE FUTURE, GOD WILL GIVE ME THE BLESSING TO GO BACK TO COLLEGE AND COMPLETE A MASTER DEGREE OR FURTHER STUDIES.
WHO KNOWS!! THE LORD SHOWS ME THE WAY. HE IS THE LIGHT, THE ONLY LIGHT THAT I FOLLOW, OTHERWISE I AM BLIND...
HAVE A BLESSED DAY, DEAR SUPER FRIEND, SANDIE!!
I INVITE YOU ALL TO VISIT MY BLOG, "THE EXISTENCE OF OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT."

I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE FROM TIME TO TIME, IF YOU WISH.
GOD MAY BLESS YOU ALL, DEAR ONLINE FRIENDS!!
