Melodies of My Soul. (Poem)
Looking out the window,
I see butterflies all around.
In my garden of plants,
Mother nature is much abound.
I'm wondering where my flowers have gone.
Then, my spirit rises to the sky.
I find the seasons changing,
As I see the birds passing by.
Hear the music of the wind
Singing softly in my ear,
I know, my soul is flying afar
With pure melodies of no fear.
Feeling the scent of the sea breeze among seagulls...
I enjoy walking by the beach in love.
Collecting stones and plunging in the sea foam,
I still gaze at the sky up above.
Looking back, crawling down the creek,
I felt my wounds were set to part.
Mending souls in despair to drowning,
I was keeping afloat with a singing heart.
Shedding tears and missing dawns,
I captured seashells at the beach.
Teardrops -then- were like waterfalls
Digging their way to the ditch.
The music of mother nature was in the air.
Flutes were still playing in the raging sea.
I sailed away in my mighty vessel
To an island of chestnuts and honeybees.
Imagining that you were waiting there
Under the waterfall and dew,
I approached your early sunset
To find the mountain that it was you.
Drifting from place to place,
I found nothing but falling rain.
In my search for happiness,
My traveling was not in vain.
If only I could dream of living with horses...
How happy I would be!!...
I love horses and animals!!
I know, their love will heal me and set me free.

Beautiful poem. Yes, perhaps there would indeed be more pleasure and satisfaction in living with animals...
Hi Starry Dawn,
I too love animals and would just love to be surrounded by them. Today, the bear came by for another visit. The dogs at the bottom of the tree and the bear at the top munching on apples. Then he decided to come down and my male dog bit him on the nose!! Poor thing! He took off at a run and headed up the fir tree, into safety. There he sat perched on a branch licking his wounds and my dog at the bottom of the fir tree looking really proud of himself.
One day the dogs and the bears will get along and I will be able to snuggle their sweet, soft muzzle! You too can join me, when we are in glory! Oh how wonderful it will be.
Blessings sister,
<><

Thank you, Child of God for your wise advice about forgiveness!!
I am glad you like animals too.
It must feel strange to see a bear in your backyard. I may feel scared to death...
God bless you all my dear Online friends!!
I shall be heading for New York next year in 2012, you know...
Praise the Lord!!
Blessings,
Starry.
HI Starry Dawn...I like the horse and you poem. Keep writing and stay strong always in HIm.
Starry Dawn - it seems we have taken similar paths in some ways - I am back at my blog - Reflections - finally - thanks for staying in touch. I love horses as you do but have never had one - maybe in heaven? Sending hugs:-) - Carole
Hey Starry! I have lived my life with pets up until the last 8 years. I had a poodle/lhasa apso mix and she was our baby for almost 18 years. She passed away on December 23 2003. We haven't had a pet since. I know from experience that people are healthier who have pets. They also have better attitudes and outlooks on life. I think that animals definitely add to our lives. I have always been told that "animals" will not be in heaven with us because God didn't not actually "breathe His breath of live into them and make them a living soul, as He did us, He spoke them into being, whereas He "formed us". Anyway, no matter how many people tell me this, my heart always tells me that my Taffy is up there waiting for us.
God Bless,
PJ
