MY DEAR MOTHER, MY BEST FRIEND. A TRUE STORY.

MY DEAR MOTHER, MY BEST FRIEND. A TRUE STORY.

The other day, I came across a post written by a lovely fellow blogger who was talking about her dear mother. I always read carefully when I am interested in the topic or subject matter. My Online friend is lucky to still have her mom. I was not that lucky...
When it comes to talk about mothers, I feel like touching Heaven with the tips of my hands.
My dear mother was indeed, my best friend. She was the most wonderful person that I had ever met in my lifetime. I am unable to describe with words or poems what my mom really meant to me. My whole world shattered into million pieces when my mom departured from this world. She did not want to, for my mom was waiting for me and my little child to arrive from New York in the following days. Her dear life was taken away, snatched from her by evil doers. My life was completely changed afterwards. The change was great enough to make me become into a completely different woman. My dear mom was only 59 when she was gone.
This happened overseas and long ago...
When I was a little child, my mom sent me to a Christian Catholic Nun School. My own family were all Christians, and the nuns disciplined me. I was like a little soldier obeying rules and orders from my superiors, and they were all very strict, like bossy captains handling the boat. They did not want the boat to go adrift. No matter what they did, I still recall wonderful and loving memories from them. Folks who are old enough to remember how life was like at least 50 years ago, you will be able to understand what I am talking about. Respect was very important back then, for it was a big issue at that time. Complete obedience or respect to parents, mother, father, aunts and also higher authorities, like teachers, professors, doctors and so on was absolutely mandatory. Children never dared to raise their little voices, insult or hit or did evil things against their parents. Modern times arouse later on, like a nightmare to many who have different ways or lifestyles. I was brought up by my dear mom and her mother, my grandmother. They were Northern Italians. So, I've got Italian blood and heritage on my mother's side. My grandma lost her husband, the father of my mom, and my grandfather on my mother's side, when she was only 2 years old. My grandfather was Swiss. He was into Teaching Fine Arts, Oil Paintings and other kind of crafts.
He had a School of Art back in early 1900's. Unfortunately, he passed away at an early age, and left my mom without a father when she was still a baby. My grandmom had to work during times when women were not allow to work outside, only at home. In other words, my mom and my grandma, who raised me up, were old fashioned minded ladies. I -as a child and a young teenager- had to obey their strict rules, like no make-up, no nylon stockings, no high hills, no going out with friends, and no boyfriends ever. I was unable to get married or to have my own family. My upbringing was done with a strict discipline. I guess, I was born just to take care of my parents, and not to have a life on my own. Years later, when I grew up into an adult age, I decided to leave my mom's nest and settled down in New York by myself. It was devastating for my parents, especially for my mom. Anyway, I was determined, for I was looking for freedom...
Now, I could say that my dear mother was my best friend after all. No one could ever replace her loving ways. No matter what she did, she was still my dearest mother, and I respected her own ways. I'll always love my mom until the end of my life into Eternity.
Dear Online Friends, Do you still have your mother with you?? Is she your best friend?? If your mother is in Heaven, How was she like in a friendship with you as a child?? Do you have good memories of your childhood?? I just wonder...
I have written many poems for my dear mother. Now, I shall post one of them.
I call it: "MY MOTHER'S HEART."

Tears are falling
While I am standing in the rain,
Missing her hugs, her caring love,
Feeling that I'll be going insane.
I'll be growing older without her love
Until my tears will bloom into a rose.
When I say I miss her,
I am talking about my sweet mother.
I miss her love, voice and ways,
The corner where we used to gather
In Winter days by the fireplace.
Now, there is silence and a lonely place.
Mom used to sing and tell me tales.
Another day goes by without my mom.
To me, Mother's Day is every single day.
In my dreams, I call mom, yet I find no answer...
I keep calling mom as I dial in the sky.
Her number has been written in Heaven;
I mean to call, not to say good-bye.
This angel dove flew away
to Heavenly places afar.
She was so gentle, noble and pure.
I am talking about my mother's heart.

Thank you in advance for reading my Monthly Newsletters!!
I am looking forward to meeting my dear mother again in Heaven with the Lord.

New York Certified Nurse's Assistant. I truly care!!

New York Certified Nurse's Assistant. I truly care!!
It's truly amazing the way our dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has been working on me in order to mold me the way He really wanted me to become. I am a very different person compared to what I used to be many years ago. Now, I have such a compassionate heart for the ones in need. I love to reach out for those who need help, those who are old and weak, those who are disabled, those who may be hurting in some way or another, or suffering from some kind of physical or mental illness.
I serve the Lord in this way, or in any way He wants me to serve Him, as a humble messenger for the Lord. I am a soldier for Christ, a wildlife and prayer warrior for Christ and for His world, His Almighty Creation. We, humans, must take good care of each other, and also care for our natural environment, mother nature, the natural wonders, and our dear animals of the world. If we don't respect them, they will become extinct forever, vanish into thin air, and we will be alone in a barren world of nothing. We'll eventually become extinct as well, if everything else is extinct. We all need each other. Let's put it in a nutshell, we must support each other in a Brotherhood of Christians in order to survive. You know, the devil's tricks come to steal our joy, our dreams and our lives. We must pray to the Lord on daily basis, and obey His Holy words in the Scriptures. We should follow high goals with lasting moral values, in order to enrich our spiritual wealth. It is not hard to do. We could begin with little things in our daily lives, one step at the time. We may help others in any way we can; I mean the ones who may need help, the hurting, the lonely, the homeless, the sick, the loveless, the unwanted, or the forgotten. Maybe, it could be just in a small way with a generous caring gesture, a letter of encouragement, a heartfelt message, a caring word or a phone call, a personal visit, a helping hand, a listening ear, a loving word out where it is needed, a kind support somewhere. You may just do little things each day which may add up in the end to meaningful lasting values in our lifetime. I have posted some old family pictures up in this post that were taken some years back. The first pic was taken during the Holidays at my aunts' home when they were still doing fine. My aunts were the sisters of my dear father. We had lovely times at our family gatherings. My younger auntie used to be a Concertist Piano player and an Opera Soprano singer. Auntie was very talented. I used to sing along while auntie played the piano. She used to play at Church, Weddings and other kind of events. As you may see in the pics, the aging process could be certainly devastating for people. I had to take good care of my dear aunts when they reached to a certain point of weakness and turned 95 and 96.
My hubby took some pics of us a few years back...
My oldest auntie needed a surgery in her lower abdomen and went to Hospital. My daughter flied from New York to visit their great aunts. I included a pic of them taken at Hospital. Then after surgery, auntie needed more personal care for her rehabilitation, so she had to go to a Nursing Home. My younger aunt got too weak and joined her sister there too. I always visited them on regular basis...
I recall to have seen a 100 year-old blind lady sitting alone in the Nursing Home, and a care giver would feed her at meal times while the other immates were at table.
She was blind, she could not see, so she would call for help with anxiety...
My aunts used to tell me that they were lucky to be able to see the world.
I showed my aunts good love from my heart of hearts. I'll always remember them for the love they have given to me and to my daughter at all times. I'll never forget them!! I miss them so dearly!! You know, they are all in Heaven with the Lord. And now, I am alone without them...They are all waiting for me there in Heaven. That is OK., I am ready to go at anytime. I have already packed my suitcase filled with good deeds in this world. My aunts got reunited with my dear parents who were already there. All my family is gone, and I have no siblings, so I have nothing, but God.
I have a wonderful Christian Online friend whose mother is blind and needs her personal care. I am praying for her mother and for my friend as well. In fact, I've decided to post these personal old family pictures to encourage her that she is not alone on the road. I have already been there as well with all my dear family members. It is very sad to see our beloved ones part. Anyway, when our Lord calls us, we must be ready at His call at anytime. Our feeble bodies are temporary, but our soul will be Immortal and Eternal in Heaven with God. Christians in action is the key.
This post has been dedicated for you, my sweet dear friend. I know you are hurting, sweetheart. I hope and pray that you visit me and read these kind words for you.
The Lord will comfort you, embrace you into His loving arms, and give you strength to carry on the inner pain in your soul. He will do the same with your dear mother.
I am praying for all of you!!
God may bless you all, and protect you always!!
In God's Garden,
Starry.

"Friends are Angels sent by God."

"Friends are Angels sent by God."

Have you ever found a friend
That makes your heart glow
Someone who is wonderful
You feel honored to know.
Someone to laugh with, perhaps even to cry
Someone whom you love no matter what they do
Someone who looks up to you when you don't know why
Someone who just seems to understand you.
Someone that you think of day and night
Someone you pray for as you go to bed
Someone who shows up when the time is just right
Thoughts of them are always in your head.
Someone who shares with your ups and downs
Someone who appears whenever there is a need
Someone you share smiles with replacing all your frowns
Surely you must know, God planted that seed.
These seeds God has planted here on Earth
Were planted deeply in our friend's heart
They cannot be measured by earthly worth
Only by God's values placed here from the start
Value those friendships, honor their decisions
Respect their feelings, never make demands
Never try to make their dreams your revisions
Hold their love tightly in your hands.
Never get angry if you don't talk to them each day
Trust in friendship, send them a piece of your heart
For a heart can still feel loved even though it's far away
This is how God intended love to be from the start
Place their memory in your heart and mind
See them for what they really are
Continue to love them no matter the time
Friends are Angels sent by God from afar.

Welcome Aboard to My New Blog!!

Welcome Aboard to My New Blog!!
I am so happy to invite you to come aboard. This journey, I do not want to do it alone. I shall post My Monthly Newsletter, when I have something meaningful to say and to share with the world. I'll post my journals, stories, thoughts, general comments and other things in prose, and I'll also share classical poetry and some of my poems from time to time.
You see, I have reached to a conclusion that I have had too many blogs to handle, which I've found impossible for me to do. So, I decided to compose My New Blog with a little bit of everything for the world to share. I hope and pray that you will still read my posts and visit me. My inference will flow as clear as a waterfall.
God has set a plan for my life, and I am trying to accomplish all the multi-tasks assigned for me. I find hard to do so many things at the same time, since I am a disabled lady after the surgery in my lower abdomen. I hope you may understand.
The assignment that I truly enjoy the most is to help the helpless, the hurting, the loveless, the unwanted, the ones in most need...
I see myself as a loyal friend with lasting moral values, a loyal lady in my personal life, a Wildlife Warrior, Soldier for Christ, Prayer Warrior and other good labels.
If I ever said something that may have offended your feelings, I ask for your forgiveness. I've never had the intention to hurt anybody's feelings. Please, visit me!! Do not leave me alone!! Share your comments; I do not want to feel lonely again...
About My Journals, they will accomodate my inner thoughts in random order as they appear in my mind.
Everything else, they will remain the same as before.
I know that many of my readers like to read my poetry. Since I don't have new poems written recently, I've been searching for a cute poem to share this day, and I've just come across this one. I hope you like it, and share your wise evaluations.
I called it: "UNFOLD YOUR LOVE."
Unfold your love over the wings of the wind
When the sun begins to peep.
My tears won't subside,
If my heart gently weeps.
Catch the stars one by one when they fall,
Gaze upon the moon that in your eyes is drawing.
You'll envision its beauty in the deep blue sea.
Then, you'll realize that the Lord is calling.
Mark the day of His call in the calendar of life.
He will call you only once. Are you ready??...
Unfold your love over the wings of the wind
When the sun begins to peep.
My tears won't subside,
If my heart gently weeps.

I shall return when I have something meaningful to say and share with the world.
Until we write again...

"My Castle, My Fortress, My Home."

"My Castle, My Fortress, My Home."

Recalling memories from my childhood, my dear mom used to tell me how she felt about having her own home. She admitted that she had felt like a real Queen in her own home, and that fact had been a blessing and a gift from God to grant her a home. Of course, my dear mother transmitted the same sort of feeling to me, her only child. Yes!! My own home is my castle, my fortress, and I am the Queen there...
When I grew older, I met my very best friend in New York City. His name was Frank. He was a Veteran from the US Air Force, and we met at a job in a State Agency in the Enforcement Bureau. We became inseparable pals until the last day in his most dearest life...
Frank used to tell me in our endless conversations about the way an English man would feel about his own home.
Frank said, "To an English man, his home is his castle, his fortress, and he is the King of his home." My best friend and my dearest mother told me the same things. I'll never forget those words...
Many years later, I would have a beautiful Seal-Point Siamese cat, and I would call him Frank after my best friend. Then, he would be the King of his own home, and he would roam around his Queen cuddling and wagging his cat tale with an immortal and tantalizing attitude...
Frank and I had our philosophy towards life and an every day living. Our wisdom is laid before the world, since we acknowledge that life is too short, and since tomorrow is not promised to anyone, we must live today to the fullest of our ability.
All is well on this day, with this moment, in this place. Do whatever you do and experience whatever you need to experience. Let go of the need to place judgment on how things are. Choose instead to feel immensely and sincerely thankful for all that is, whatever it may be.
Peacefully accept the entirety of this moment, and you'll gain access to the fullness of its value. Choose to make full use of the unique opportunity that now presents itself to you. Simply allow yourself to easily and peacefully do what you have chosen to do. Let your thoughts and actions be a source of inspiration and positive focus.
See the troubles, frustrations and disappointments as the opportunities they are to give you lessons of life. Know that you are fully capable of finding the goodness and value in every situation. Feel the limitless power of your own awareness and the priceless miracle of your own being. Be at peace with it, and let life's goodness flow.
Thank you in advance for reading!! God Bless!!
STARRY DAWN.
